So, a potential chance looks to be in the stars. I have an option to relocate to Scotland for two years. Looking for any Pros/Cons of this before I get too deep into this. Aside from my e30 and my woman, not much else holding me here. What do you all think? I run an Auto Shop here in SoCal, but, I want to be able to survive there. Any UK members wanna sound off?

Go! I did a lot of traveling in the Air Force, you wont regret it. I know it sounds cliche, but there is a lot to see in this world, if you have a chance you should go for it. Go with an open mind. On the plus side, you wont have to drive the I-10 freeway for two years.Comment

I spent several months in Scotland.
BORING as hell unless you enjoy checking out 3,000 year old Castles, Museums, or truly enjoy eating fish and chips (served in newpaper as god intended) and Haggis.
Buy a sweater made from sheep you can see, yarn spun my hand, made by people who have made sweaters all of their lives. It will likely outlast you.
Rain and fog are a constant. You do not even come close to drinking properly, no matter how much you drink. 50% of the population will hate you because of where you were born. No one has nice teeth. Snaggletooth bitches will love you. I doubt if you could find even one silicone enhanced boob anywhere.
Go and experience whatever you can.
Find every CD by "The Streets" so you can practice hearing through the accent...even though British, it will help.
Oh yeah...good luck finding weed there. SoCal schwag is golden there...nothing like Humboldt or Alaskan Thunderfuck or Northern Lights anywhere.

Man I'd jump at the chance to go to Europe like that. There is all kinds of cool shit to see in Europe. Fuck good smoke, I'd bet you could pick up some good shit outside of Scotland.Originally posted by KingBScratch my back and I buy a prostitute for you, to rub your balls. I'll second that. As of now I'm hoping I can get a job out there. I run an auto shop, and have worked for a few highline dealers here in SoCal, I always found that brit/euro salesmen always made more sales. Maybe the converse holds true and I can make good money there with a US accent. Hey, the e30 is the civic of europe, Maybe all this reading/posting here will help me out. Amsterdam baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment
