Who do I keep my ice from becoming a glacier?

At my last apt the icemaker didn't work. At my new apt we have a working icemaker. Question. How do I keep the bottom half portion from becoming a solid fkn block of ice?

    Sincerely,

    Bacardi and Sky

Note: the title should read "how" not "who". A few pieces of ice are loose so I've had a few...

I think he means how does one keep the bottom of the ice bucket from turning into a solid block.. which impedes the flow of ice.

don't leave the dang door open so long and the ice won't melt into one huge block.

change the temp so your freezer is colder, never had a problem like yours with any newer, decent branded freezer

Alot of times you can lift a bar or some sort of switch to turn the icemaker off. Do that so you use the bottom half of the ice bin, then turn it back on so it refills. Otherwise it will just keep topping off the bin. Thats how it is with my freezer anyways.

Make blended margaritas on a regular basis. That's what I do.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

What he said ^. Had the same problem until I turned it up a notch.

sounds to me like your icemaker is overflowing water into the ice holder when its filling the trays.....at least thats been my experience

that exactly it. It's not leaking water into the bin... I'll try to set it to colder.

                          Turn the temp down.

And who ever mentioned blended margaritas should be shot.

Oh, trust me - I'm very clear that blended is for girls, but on a hot day a BLENDED w/ cheap mixer with cheap-o gold tequila hits the spot.

If you want to get all conisuer(sp), I love a good premium silver tequila with fresh lime on the rocks, skip the triple sec entirely.

Everything has a place & a reason. Cheap mixer & gold tequila, blended, in a big ass mug as you sit in a hot-tub FTW.

my time and place for everything consists of jim beam and double bastard ales. then when those arent out (seasonal), i go with the timeless arrogant bastard ale.
