    Burning MP3 CD's from itunes?

So I finally moved into the 21st century and ditched my beloved 12 disc changer and got a new head unit(panasonic 7413) . So now I figure I can just have a couple CD's up front with 100 or so songs on each. I know my unit wont read DVD's so thats out.

My question is: How do I change the fromat of the music on my iTunes to MP3 so I can fit many many mp3's on the many blank CD-R discs I have? CD-R's will allow MP3 files right? Any ideas? Thanks.

You can't burn data discs in iTunes.

You can use a program like the one at the website below to convert the files (if they are all m4p files ripped by itunes). Then use some other program to burn a data disc.

edit: I haven't used this one, but I rip all my cds as mp3s using another program and then just use itunes to load them onto the ipod.

Aaron, if you care about sound quality, go .WMA.

Rip a few CD's into your hard drive with the windows media player set to 192kbps, making sure "copy protection" is off.

Burn these to CD using windows media (in DATA mode) or using Nero.

You can fit 9 full CDs on one disk.

All of the above assumes a windows machine, BTW.

The sound will shred MP3 at 320Kbps, BTW.

Did you get your sub out issue fixed?

Are you asking how to burn a MP3 CD? I burn mp3 cds in iTunes all the time.

            Go to Edit

            Preferences

            Advanced

            Burning

and select MP3 CD, add songs to your play list until it reaches 650MB or 700MB (depending on the size of your disc) and you should be good to go.

Well I tried that and it said I cannot burn mp3 cds and that only files that are already mp3 may be burned.

                1: Get an apple
                2: Put blank CD in
3: Drag files in to CD
4: Drag CD icon to burn

                Fin

Or you could do windows, download software, convert files and then burn as data with said software using up all of your ram.
