I'm fairly sure that this is bullshit because I found this video by the same guy http://youtube.com/watch?v=0rA-zhTJuFU&feature=related
I know this would not work. 1.5 DC volts is not going to run a tv that needs 110 V ac.

What makes you think it NEEDS the 110v? It just happens to be what our households use.

So if you eat a onion, drink a bunch of Gatorade, then pee & poop in the same bucket - you could use the gas to get high & the sewage to power your Ipod?

Gives a whole new meaning to "going green".

Flush your crap & use the wall socket. McGyver is the only one who cares about this recharge, and I hear he's driving a Hummer with all his profits from syndication.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

                      ahhahaha

I remember stuff like this from science tv shows like them using potato's or oranges or something to power tiny little light bulbs...

Wow. Just wow. People who believe the TV thing or the speaker thing must know NOTHING about electricity or how it's used.

The onion thing I can see. Maybe. I mean, the reason why onions burn your eyes is because the gas it gives off combined with the moisture in your eyes creates sulfuric acid (read it in pop-sci), so...

But running a TV off 1.5V that is made to run off of 115 is complete bullshit. Granted, inside your TV there is a power converter that turns 115V into what ever voltage the TV is designed for, but hooking 1.5 volts to that will just not work.
