Yeah, saying "I'm gonna kill him" is probably gonna put him behind bars.

Hope he gets off though, maybe the judge is a good ole boy.

Yeah, he really shouldn't have run his mouth on the phone. It will probably end up being first degree murder.

Remember, it's Texas, he won't get 1st degree. 2nd degree? manslaughter? yeah, possibly, but I don't see 1st degree happening. you could hear him say "Move and you dead." it's not like they didn't have a warning.

I don't know. I mean the guys posed no threat to the guy. They were stealing property, probably not of too much value. The report said they had minor brushes with the law.

I don't think it's right for this guy to take their lives. Granted they're pieces of shit for stealing, but put them behind bars, not under ground. If you have to shoot (which I don't think was necessary) take out their legs. then they learn a lesson never being able to walk again, and they're caught and end up in jail

I mean come out. I've gotten my car stereo stolen before, and it outraged me. But if I saw one getting stolen, I'd call the cops, maybe beat the guy with a baseball bat or something. I wouldn't just walk up to someone stealing a car radio and shoot him in the back

he should get a medal of honor. Stealing someones shit? Get shot. It's a pretty good policy. You'd only object to that if you're a stealing bastard.

                    Funeral costs tax payers nothing.

Keeping 2x waste of human skin in jail for 10yrs each costs us plenty.

I'd just assume take every single person serving a life term or greater in any US prison at this moment, and execute every last mother fucking one of them in one fowl swoop. Don't even waste time on injections, chairs, gas, all that. Bullets are cheaper and have no problems passing through the gaps in iron bars. Just get someone with a push cart full of ammo to follow you down the prison rows and go "door to door" so to speak.

Definately a money saver. My only reservation with that idea is some people are legitimately in prison by error. IIRC there was recently a case where the guy was in prison for 12 years - then they finally somehow found out he was innocent. If I ever caught someone in my house or in one of my cars it would be the last thing they see. In This dude's case - I'd have a gun to these guys heads until the cops came. If they tried anything it'd be over - which very well may have happened.

+1, or we could chain them and make them do some slave labor for the community that they drain down.

You'll never get enough fruitful labor to justify the costs to watch all of them in the field, and again.. keep them fed and housed.

Going to name them both toby too?

I just listened to the whole call. I do not think this guy should be punished. If he sees a prison it would be an outrage.

not everyone that commits a small crime is a terrible person.

many are. but a lot aren't.

i don't think its right for people to take this kind of things into their own hands.

that being said, I've never stolen anything, I'm not like trying to defend something because I've done it or anything

Well, we will never know if they are a good person or not, because they made the asshole move to steal shit.

If you want a shot at redemption, don't do something that warrants getting shot.
