Thats fucking life man. Some people do bad shit their whole life and don't get caught - some people get killed the first time they try it. Why roll the dice? They knew it was a possibility when they went through the window. Were they a terrible person? Doesnt matter any more. Let's just hope someone learns a lesson from this and tries to live an honest life.

        Bingo!

THis SHOULD put all would-be thieves or other budding criminals 'on notice' that if you want to try it, I will take my best shot. Seriously.

We all know it's crap to "call the cops" - your stuff was listed on Ebay within 90 minutes of you realizing it's gone. Cops aren't going to do anything, we all know it & it's a reason thieves keep doing it because they know cops have (sadly) bigger fish to fry.

You have kids doing cars & home jobs because they know they will get a slap on the wrist at most & be back out in time to steal dinner. Plus they need to kill this "juvinile record cleaning" - you did it, it should stay on you. You aren't teflon, WTF?

It's screwed up that in America - and some of the posters here - think they did enough to call the cops. Horseshit.

I'd buy that guy a beer. And move into his neighborhood.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

The guy is from Pasadena, the popo's were probably off at the krispy creme on Fairmont and had to finish their coffee's before they could go. (i.e. they are lazy as shit).

I've had people steal my shit and on one night some a-holes broke into 8 (yes 8!) cars on my block. Luckily for them they didn't set off a car alarm or they would most certainly be dead as almost half the people on my block have a shotgun, pistol, or both in their house.

Mr Horn won't be going to prison, although he may be going to a shrink soon.

Nay I say on the single beer offer, this man deserves at least a keg for his efforts, and judging by the looks of him, he can handle it. :)

As a Texan myself I can assure you that "wisdom" had nothing to do with it. This guy was dying to kill some "waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless". Nobody is saying it but that's exactly what's going on here. Texas law says you can use deadly force to protect yourself or property in your house or car, or if you are in immediate threat of serious bodily harm. What this guy did was against the law in every state. If he can do it next door he can do it across town.

Dude - this guy obviously was not a racist. It kind of pisses me off that you just assume that for no good reason.

                      You are a tool.

Between this comment & your insightful views in the 'Sick-o' thread telling us what's wrong with having an Off Topic forum(we shouldn't have one), maybe you should just quit looking at OT.

That guy gave those guys a clear "Stop or I'll shoot" - they didn't.

Didn't matter if they were white or black, they chose to not comply. Stupid doesn't have a color.

The opinions stated by Austin residents do not necessarily represent those of the other 21.7 million Texans.

If Austin leaned any further to the left it would fall over.

There is a popular bumper sticker up there "Keep Austin Weird" That pretty much sums it up.

I don't think being left is the problem. I'm pretty far left when it comes to some things.

I used to live in TX, Corpus and Port Lavaca specifically while working construction. I'm glad I was able to. This man deserves a medal and a a life time supply of amo.

Being that this took place in Pasadena and not North Shore or Denver Harbor, I can say with about 99% certainty that the people doing the breakin were not black.

I hate all the idiots in Austin, including those in the capital building, they completly ruin what is otherwise a very nice part of Texas.

I would have said black until I read the names.. then its questionable.
Miguel Antonio DeJesus, 38, and Diego Ortiz, 30.

Black or Blaxican.. doesn't much matter. Both of them are now described as dead.
