SD North County: Help my Dad

Hey R3V, I need some help.

My Dad, who is 82 (and a feisty old fucker) needs some help.

He has some old POS MBZ which sounds to me like it needs drive axels.

Would I be able to convince 1 or 2 of you to buzz over to Escondido, jack his car up and check?

He lives just off 78, right by the MBZ dealer.

It would mean the world to me to know my old man is safe.

I really am hoping to go see him around the first of the year, so I can handle the swap...but I really want someone capable to check it out.

The basics are jack the car up, put jackstands under the ass end in a fashion that the suspension is somewhere near normal ride height, then (wheels blocked, etc) fire up the old bitch, put it in drive and look for whatever the hell is making a noise Dad describes as "a playing card in the bicycle spokes" kind of noise.
