1 try, and apparently somebody likes to delete posts.

I was trying to think of it like a riddle at first, I didn't realize it would be as simple as actually counting the legs, but that works.

Yeah, because apparently, somebody likes to give the answer away in the first 2 posts of the thread.

          Think McFly, think.

I thought it was one of those guess in the thread type things and didn't bother to click the link until after I posted. It turns out you can submit your answer in the link, who would have guessed that? What a crazy world we live in.

I got it in 1 try. I represented on the scoreboard. Not to sound like a douche, but that seemed really easy, and I suck at math.

                        New one today:
                        Story:
Howard Hughes is planning to throw a party for his birthday.
The centerpiece of this party is going to be a swimming pool full of gin and tonic.
In an attempt to keep costs down, Howard wants to calculate the exact cost before going ahead with it.

                        Facts:
The swimming pool is of dimensions 15,000mm long, 10,000mm wide, and 3,000mm deep.
All angles in the pool are right angles, and the opposing faces are equal.
Howard's recipe is 1 part gin for every 5 parts tonic.
Howard wants to fill the pool to 9/10ths capacity.
Howard is going to buy the gin in 750ml bottles, and the tonic in 250ml bottles.
The gin is $20 per 750ml bottle. The tonic is $2.25 per 250ml bottle.
There is no need to account for any additional costs.
The pool is currently entirely empty.
Assume that all bottles hold exactly the amount stated.
Assume that all liquid comes out of the bottles entirely when poured.
Ignore the fact that Howard is deceased.

                        Question:
How much will Howard have to spend to fill the pool in this fashion?

                        Answer format:
If you calculate, for example, $5,000.00 you should enter in 5000
took me 2 tries because i'm an idiot

                            This isn't a puzzle, it's 6th grade math.

I can't believe I wasted my time on that.

                              Got it first try.

The real riddle is, where is he getting 90,000 bottles of gin? :drink:
