I didn't ask why you had a roth IRA, I had assumed by your mention of an IRA that it was a non-Roth IRA. IMO Roth IRA is worlds better than the traditional IRA and it seems that we agree.Leave a comment:

This is ridiculous. I'm not going to scan one of my paystubs for some dudes on the internet.
Also, I'm not a rad tech. I work in the business office for MH outpatient imaging. What do you do and where do you work? Shoot me your resmue - we're growing fast and need some people :DLeave a comment:

You probably haven't experienced failure because no one has felt confident enough to give significant responsibility to a non-college graduate. A degree, among other things, helps to reassure potential employers.
I agree college isn't for everyone and that wealth can be created without a degree, but a degree allows for job flexibility and quicker career advancement.
Personally having a Roth IRA, I'm kinda confused about what a 'fully funded IRA's (4 years)' is, why you would have 2 of them (unless one is your wife's, then why are you claiming it as your own?), and why wouldn't you go with a Roth IRA over a traditional IRA?
Tip: If you plan to make as much money as you said, you should convert them to a Roth IRA to allow your investment to grow tax free.
My Aunt was once an X-ray tech ... then she got married and had kids.
BTW, you work in the health care industry but don't know what a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) is? WOW.
I know what an HMO is - but an HMO company? There is no company that produces HMO's only - however there are insurance companies that sell hmo, ppos, pos, medicare replacement, whatever. There is no such thing as an "hmo company". Believe me - I have to deal with health insurance every freaking day.
I'm a little bit confused - first you ask why I have a roth IRA - then you tell me to convert to one? I have a roth IRA - and it is growing tax free. And yes - I have 2 because one is my wifes. I consider our assets to belong to eachother.Leave a comment:

So you're a college student making more than 50k a year working regular hours. You should scan one of your paystubs. I need to move to houston, where college students make as much as new engineers, and rad techs make more than pharmacists.Leave a comment:

Congrats - where the fuck do you work that pays so low? I make more than that shit now.Good luck making over 100k in ANY radiology tech position, unless you are a supervisor or you work tons of overtime, or you are set up with a lucrative traveling position. My employer starts x-ray techs out at $19hr, and MRI/Nuc out at $24hr.
You will not work through medical school if that is what you mean by "work through the rest of school". It is not possible, you will fail.Leave a comment:

Regardless of what you think about my career path - I'm still doing far better than you are. As for failing - I fail at nothing. Period. That's how I got where I am now. So - go enojy your dorm that you're sharing with another dude and credit card debt ass hat.well sweet. clearly you are a young, ignorant douchebag and seem to love your job as much as you love talking about yourself and lying. I hope you enjoy being a hypocrite talking about not working for someone else while you are the MRI jockey, still, at 50.
Six figures my ass. Nice work trying to sound cooler than you are.
I can bet you will try to continue on your way to be a "radiologist" and fail, and just be the guy who will scan my balls.Leave a comment:

did I say I was going to be an XR tech? absolutely not. That's the first certification - which is BS. MRI and PET CT get paid 6 figures. Like I said though - this is just so I can work through the rest of school.
Lance - I want you to compare yourself with me so you can STFU - because I will win.
I'm 22
I own my own brand new house that was built for me
I have 2 fully funded IRA's (4 years) yeilding 12% or more
I've got enough set aside to live off of for 2 years.
My and my wife combined make nearly 3x what the average college grad makes - and we both pay for our school in cash!
If you're doing better than me - let me know. If not, STFU nowLeave a comment:

I'm getting certified in XR, Fluoro, Nuc Med, CT, MRI and PET CT first with a bachelors - then I'll continue my education while working for the hospital.Leave a comment:
