    American Hardcore

All this talk about rap provided me with the perfect segue. I finally rented American Hardcore. Sort of a documentary about what white kids (and cool black kids) used to listen to back when most of you were elementary school. Lots of old homemade video of some great old American punk shows 1980-1986 era and interviews with band members. Makes me want to go watch Repo Man again. I highly recommend it.

God, those were the good old days.

being that i'm also jurassic, into the punk "scene" for ever, you know..."
back when punk rock was dangerious...you couldn't go to the mall and get your little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles pierced or the crazy colour for your hair...etc"
i want to see this, where can i get it and is it hard to find?

Black Flag was always in my tape deck, them & and this crappy little band Mettalica.

I missed the early punk stuff, graduated HS in '90. We lived out in the sticks as kids, couldn't even get radio reception too well unless it was raining.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

                Yep - 35

                Yep - you're old, it's OK - so am I

                Enigma went under?? Dam.

There was a local label too - wax trax, black box - something like that. The logo was a black circle & the script in side it. They were good stuff, just up the road from the Doc Martens store that was just workboots back then. Hanging out at the B & O Espresso, shmoozing on all the little punk girls, Hitting Belltown in the evenings....oh, the good days.

Dam, stuff changes when you aren't looking.

Der Affe, It should be at your local video store.

Pretenders used to be on a label called Stiff Records IIRC, I had a tshirt of theirs that said "If it aint Stiff, it aint worth a fuck" Some Ska label had a T that said "Fuck Art, Let's Dance" it may have been A&M records.

I had forgotten about the Bad Brains. They ripped.

Check out this old sticker I've had on my toolbox...

Shit, I graduated from H.S. in 1983. I hated high school.
