i gotta get my car off ice ASAP- help

So i'm home from school on winter break, and i have a tattoo appointment in an hour. my bro took my DD explorer and i need to drive my e30. it's stuck in an inch of ice at the end of my drivewsy and i gotta get it out by myself with no salt and no time to let the salt actually do anything

    suggestions?

Don't have any personal experience since I live where we never see snow, but hot water?

Like actually "stuck" in the ice.. if that's the case, I would start chiseling away at it....

I read it as "stuck" as in welded to a 1" layer of ice. My bicycle got lodged in 8" of ice last year due to slush freezing overnight. I was unable to extricate it for 3 weeks. :(

its just sitting on top. i was able to back all the way down my driveway but had to stop for a car coming down the street. thats what got me. if the street were clear i'd be getting my leg finished

spin the tires until the ice heats up and melts.

Seriously, that sucks. Texas FTW. However, i had alot of ice on my windows this morning...

edit: nm, just saw that it's on top of the ice.

if you don't have salt, try sand, dirt, gravel, grass or anything you have around in bulk for traction.

Get your neighbor to push your ass.... got kitty litter? sand?

Or have your neighbor watch the road, and fly down the driveway...

It sounds like he's stuck ON the ice, not IN the ice.

"its just sitting on top. i was able to back all the way down my driveway but had to stop for a car coming down the street."

Put sand under it, or rubber floor mats, ride the clutch enough to get it to creep, don't spin the tires.

                          Good luck,
                          Chris

lol at spin the tires til the ice melts

baby the clutch and sand/kitty litter are your best bets
