i used to work with a guy who had one, don't even think of getting it within 10' of any water. if you get it even a little wet, it is done!

Did he send it back? If it had never been opened it would have been under warranty. I have five Nixons. All of them rock.

i don't think so. the first one he got pushed/jumped in a pool at a party with it on IIRC it was the wood one too.
the second one he knocked his water bottle over on it on his side box, realized what he did (maybe 30 sec. later) dried it off and blew it off with air, and it crapped 4 days later.
i told him to get an Oris like me, no probs with mine!

Damn. I have a $22 Timex that I never take off and shower in everyday. Hell, I've even stuck my hand (with watch on) into a bucket of coolant to fish out bolts with no problems.
