Hey, that was an awesome fucking movie, I'll take that as a compliment! I meant this track to be sort of a fusion an old-sounding fiddle tune with a bunch of stuff you wouldn't expect to hear surrounding it...

I can dig it - really quality sound. Layered, full, and mellow - with the drum kicking it up a bit.

2 cents? It needs one more layer of sound. Or maybe just a bit more reverb. (your morning dew is where it's at)

Also, coming form a video and film production world - it's TOTALLY suited to that. Ever think of making a composition like that with 10 and 15 second bumpers, and then entire thing boiled down to 30 seconds - then a longer drawn out 10 min version? It would sell.

Check out "megatrax" and the like...they turn trax like that into the bumpers for shows on TV all the time.

Thanks for the comments, it's great to get feedback! I agree with you about the missing layer, but after stressing over it for a few hours I just ended up tweaking the drums and calling it "done". It's never really done though... This was a very different approach from Morning Dew, which was entirely done with samples so half of the production was already done for me (thank you Alan Parsons...) I really wanted to break my dependence on sampling and almost succeeded save for the sax and a few tidbits here and there. I'll keep listening to it and see what comes to mind...

I've thought about film and TV but not long or hard yet, for the time being I'm just trying to get 8 - 10 tracks completed to release quality so I can have something to sell at shows besides my band's CD. It would also give me a foot in the door to venues for my solo projects. CDBaby will follow soon I imagine...
