Just looking for some fresh talent as far the arts and photography are concerned. Tell me who I should be looking out for...

Favorite artist:

Jay long - Local to Austin TX. I have about 10 of his pieces in my house.









I used to be a huge fan of dali - but I grew out of it. If you ever get a chance to go to the salvador dali museum in ST pete's florida do it. He's called a master for a reason.

That Ron English guy is trippy. I do however think that style of art is a tad played out.

Photographers: Imogen Cunningham and Ansel Adams
Painter/Scultpure: I can't really pick one but the periods in which I like the most are probably High Renaissance, Baroque or Rococo. I wish I had some of their talent :)
My favorite photographers are a tad cliche but I enjoy their work and emphasis on the beauty of their subject as opposed to a modern approach

If you want inspiration....take a walk into history. They are/were the most inventive of their time. It's also a personal preference...I could never justify slapping paint on a canvas and calling it "art"
