    desktop back ground question

    here is a pic of whats going on.
    I cant put a picture as the back ground, neither can i use a OEM windows one.
    soo... whats the deal?


    i really want my Mt wilson picture on my desktop thats why i ask.

              Do you have an active desktop wallpaper selected? If so turn that off. Also, sounds like it could be a group policy on that computer.

              Try these instructions HERE:

              See if you have some settings that prevent you from selecting a new background wallpaper.

                    Looks like a local group policy prohibiting you from changing the background. I only suggest this since I just implemented a Corporate-wide GPO disabling the user from changing the background and that's what it looks like.

                    Look up how to change your local group policy and the background settings.

                        If you're a local administrator and not joined to a domain, do start>run>gpedit.msc
                        User config>admin templates>desktop check those settings.

                        The question would be more or less is this a home computer or corporate computer?
