So true. That "sport" is a joke. Stagged fights and all.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Have you ever been three lanes wide at 200mph in a pack of 43 cars, It takes a lot of skill. Ever wonder why the top roadracing guys have never been succesful in NASCAR ?Dale SR. & JR. finished third in there first 24r of Dayton race. Guess they were "not skilled" enough to beat only two other teams. There is no form of racing that does take skill to push a car to its limits every time you drive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I love F1, I find myself falling asleep after the first 30 minutes. Deciding the race in the pits is boring. It's almost like soccer...goals (passes) are rare and worth a celebration. At least with NASCAR, you don't know who's going to win after the first 3 laps.

the second day, we got to drive the cars, and i will honestly say it is a lot harder to do at speed that i thought. the cars were not 200mph cars, but they were a handfull to keep turning at speed. (spun 2x and stalled it 5x trying to shift in the turns). i gained a new respect for the drivers. do i like it fuck no! would i go to a nascar event for free....prob not (i used to get free tickets all the time and pass them on).
i still think it is inbred retarded, low IQ, racing. NASCAR is like PRO Wrasslin' with cars. something for the stupid people to latch on to, when they can't understand pro sports (which i am only a fan of football...the round type, some hockey, and rugby).
on a side note i got more out of talking to the guys who maintained the cars. they were totally stoked that some one was interested in what they did. in my eyes they are the real stars. how can you make a v-8 spin that kind of rpm, at that speed, for that long, and finish a race. that is impressive!seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

i disagree with you. NASCAR is NOT a Low IQ type of racing. Start looking online on what is involved in setting up the car or any type of oval type racing car. Even in kart racing, if you are off by 1 psi in tire pressure that will cost you the race. Scaling, Tires, Gearing, it all counts, so i dont think you would go far if you had a Low IQ.

i am not talking about the people that do it, (still think it sucks!), or the people that build the chassis, motors, set them up, etc (still sucks). it is i just don't like nascar or for the most part the fans. (still sucks)
i realize that a lot of the drivers start out in kart racing, (where they turn both directions BTW), there is a lot more involved with the finite details of the car such as chassis set up, tyre pressure, down force, drafting, fuel consumption, stratigic pit stops. i think the technical side of it is interesting. that being said it still sucks in my eyes and holds no interest for me.
NASCAR came out of moonshine running, and people hot rodding stock looking cars to out run the po po, and make $$$ to survive. the history of early NASCAR is interesting. the racing still holds no interest for me.
i have watched some of the old NASCAR pre restrictor plate days and it looked pretty hairy at those speeds. NASCAR is (or the most part) trying to take equally matched cars and letting the teams find out little tricks within the rules (sometimes not) to make them faster than the competition. i can applaud them for what it takes to try to win and find innovations to do it. i still can't get in to it at all.
if you like it, good for you, i hope you enjoy it. i don't and i don't watch it, and continue to make fun of it because i am an opinionated DICK, and that is what i do. it also killed me when Boris Said went to NASCAR and stopped racing SCCA. i enjoyed watching him race whle turning LEFT and RIGHT. the $$$$ is with NASCAR and it's 18K sponsors, you got to make a living,so i can understand why.seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen
