Bought my '91 318is when I was 15, ran the M42 for 3.5 years, blew it up...been with the 3.0L for about 4 years now.

M42 got 33mpg on the highway
3.0L M50 gets 31mpg, so economy hasn't changed much.

edit: owned an '87 325e/4 for about 8 months before selling it...wish I kept it!!

I know I'm missing a bunch of them on here, but that was 2 minutes of memory.

Best fuel economy - Any of the Rabbits, or the Corolla

Worst fuel economy - The 83 Olds, or the 735iL. The V50 was also surprisingly bad.

Slowest - Either the 74 2002, or the 82 Rabbit, which was an also an auto

Fastest - V50 was very fast, so was the Scirocco.

One I miss the most? The tii, the 76 2002, the 633csi, or the....oh hell, wish I still owned them all.

I was on the FAQ from the beginning- after the split from Roachfly. But I rarely check in there anymore, too much BS. I've got the same name on pretty much every forum I'm on. ;)
