I grab the stuff from partsexpress, thick and durable

yeah but is it the stuff with a backing? i can get that shit all day long. i need the stuff with no backing and it stretches and conforms to irregular shapes.
edit.... is this the shit you used or did you use the latex backed stuff? this stuff looks like it may do the job.

the backed stuff doesnt conform to irregular shapes. i fiberglassed in a 3rd brake light onto the parcel shelf of my 02. i ordered a couple yards of the unbacked stuff. ill see what shows up. thanks for the tip

i googled that shit and came up with marine carpet. it doesnt say anywhere if its backed or not and if i got it and it wasnt what i wanted id have to buy another boat to put it to use. so i got the unbacked trunk liner i guess. its for a fucking parcel tray so its not like im going to be walking on it or even touching it. it will match the rest of the car. i know its not as durable but in this case it should be fine
