    Ticket Invalidity?

So I just got a parking citation for parking in the wrong lot. I made an honest mistake. Anyway, the officer wrote down the color of my car as "purple." The car is legally blue. Is this grounds for an invalid ticket? I've heard of judges throwing tickets out for the officer screwing up with small indescrepencies like this before.

Do any of you peeps have experience that could help with my defense?

After forking an outrageous $80 for a university pass just a week ago, those clowns don't deserve anything from me. Especially for parking in an empty lot.

If the license number is correct on the ticket, you can forget about trying to get out of it. Color is somewhat subjective based on lighting, angle, etc. If the license # is correct, it proves you weren't parked where you were supposed to be. You can try and walk in and say it wasn't your car or whatever. They see this kind of thing every day. They will say "is your license plate number $^%&*? What are going to say? If you lie, not only are you double busted, because they can easily check the registration, but now you're a marked man and they will be looking for every opportunity to stick a ticket on your car.

Oh, and the word is discrepancy.

Regardless of whether you feel you don't owe them anything, you parked in the wrong place and got busted. Man up and pay.

just take it to the judge. the cop wont show up. i have been to court 3 times not once has he shown up. the worse that will happen is that you have to pay the fine. just go and explain your case. just my 2 cents

hmmm depends on the area. Near me they used to Never show up....then it changed when court appearances were paid time, rather then done on cops off time. So you bet your sweet ass those cops showed up to every court appearance.
