Having your wisdom teeth pulled is nothing. Just take pain killers for a day or 2 and your good to go. I think I only needed mine for 2 or 3 days until I was good enough to go with out them.

As far as painkillers go, my favorite so far is vicoden, it just makes you feel so damn comfortable and takes the edge off of everything. I've never had oxycodone, but I've heard good things.

oxycodones are intense. hillbilly heroin, i wouldnt fuck around with those. opiates are retardedly easy to get hooked on

You shouldnt have recieved OCs for having your fucking wisdom teeth pulled. They shoulda just gave you vicodins or norcos. OCs are a synthetic heroine, and that shits nothing to fuck with.

My girlfriend got in a really bad accident in April this year. They gave her OCs, but she actually needed them. She was only on them for a few weeks, when one day she missed her pills because she ran out. She literally started flipping the fuck out, twitching, pacing the hallways like a fucking tweaker. So we got her some more to ease the withdraw, then the next day went to the doctors and weened her off of those.

I wouldnt take Ocs for my tooth if I were you, and I ask your dentist what the fuck he was thinking.

Hehe my dose is very mild. I actually told the surgeon I didnt want something like OC before the surgury and he said after that since the sawed through my bone, Vicoden probably wouldn't be enough. Since OC needs a written prescription and vicoden can be called in, he suggested OC so I could sleep if vicoden wasn't enough. I only take it in half doses...

Man, I didn't even take painkillers, I just threw them right back up and had the stomach acid burn the open wounds :( I had pain for two weeks, lost 10 pounds and couldn't take painkillers. Consider yourself lucky.

For some reason, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled they didn't give me a prescription for anything. They told me to take Tylenol.

But I have to agree that opiates are very easy to get hooked on. When I had knee surgery (broken femur right next to the knee cap) they gave me percocet (sp?) and the script was refillable for a month. It was actually quite painful and I did need to take quite a few of them. But after 2 or 3 weeks, the pain was much less, but I would just snort or take them before I went to school and be high as hell. But when the refills stopped, I noticed that I had pretty bad headaches from withdrawls.

And I did occasionally take them and have a few beers. It fucked me up pretty good. Kind of dumb, but I did a lot of stupid shit when I was 17.

i just had arthroscopy surgery on my shoulder right before xmas and they gave me hydrocodone, lots of it.

good thing i have some left over... i get my wisdom teeth taken out on tuesday.

Shit i get mine pulled on thursday and the anticipation is probably the worst part. I'm sure the whole procedure won't be bad but it sucks just waiting for it all.

Man, fuck painkillers. I had jaw surgery a while back and they gave me some shit- I woke up at 4 am floating 3 feet obove my bed, couldn't move, and everything was shaded white and fuzzy then faded to pure white in one corner of my room. Never taking that shit again.

I think some of you are mixing up oxycodone and Oxycontin. The former is the generic form of Percocet, which is fairly potent, but not the same as OxyContin.

OxyContin (Hydrocodone) is the "hillbilly heroin".

I'd steer clear of both of them.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed (1991), I got some Tylenol-3 and that was it. The Doc offered to write me a scrip for something stronger (not sure what it was) and I passed.

I have 19 of 20 pills prescribed to me, left of the hydrocodone too ... :up: :crazy:


That shit is some serious stuff !! But mine was for a kidney stone though, which is 1,000,000 more painful than wisdom teeth being removed.
