    Fraud Insurance/Detector/etc.

I think its about time to pay the monthly fee for one. I had my credit card company send me theirs (Chase) and it's $8 a month and covers up to $25,000 in expenses. It appears that Visa actually covers the unauthorized spending (they will reimburse past $50 for a fraudulent spend). Is this correct?

Anyway, it has the expenses, phone calls when selected strange things happen with my card (everything from internet buys to address change), and a "fraud advisor".

I'm weighing my options before I choose one. Anyone have some recommendations for me.

I'd like to have one that:
-Watches everything (bank, credit cards, etc.)
    -Free credit reports/direct credit monitoring
    -anything else you guys recommend?

Preciate any experience you guys have!

It's just another way for credit card companies to make money. Federal law limits your liability to $50 if your card is used fradulently.

Its not for the fraudulent charges. You'll notice that I pointed out that Visa covers over $50 already. Its for the identity theft and credit score monitoring.

Does anyone have any real advice?
              Thanks.

The issue with identity theft isn't the money lost, it's the time spent getting your life back in order, and working everything out to the last detail.

Most ID theft insurance is simply just a credit monitoring system. But there are some like, Zander Insurance, who actually appoint you a case worker to fill out all the paper work to get your life back in order.
