    I need new computer speakers

Can anyone recommend a good computer audio setup that isn't too expensive? Thanks!

TG, may I suggest deciding what you want first?

If I was going to do just music/internet shit, I would do 2.1 sound. Logitech on the cheap, Klipsch on the quality.

5.1? Decide if you need a decoder or if your sound card has 5.1 adequate for your needs, then go upper end Logitech. If you really don't care about SQ, check out Altec or any one of the 3.5billion brands there are out there now.

You're right Luke, I'm mostly interested in sound quality for music. I don't play video games or anything like that either. I live in an apartment as well so I don't need something that "goes to 11" if you know what I mean. As far as my soundcard, I have no idea. I have a Mac Mini. Looking to spend around $100 bucks or so. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

+1, I have had them for almost 4 years now. No issues whatsoever, and it is some of the cleanest best bass and sound clarity you can get from a 2.1, seriously good stuff. I've blasted the hell out of them for a LONG time too.

I'm leaning towards these. Thanks a bunch guys.

If bass is your goal, do the Logitech. Overall SQ, Klipsch. Actual clarity of the midrange also goes to Logitech, but the satellites are only a single driver, no separate tweeter.

Ever thought about getting a used 2 channel home receiver and a pair of small speakers?

+1 for Klipsch. I still have my original ProMedia 5.1 (the one with the upright control tower) and it's still going strong and I love it.

I have some older Cambridge sound works 5.1 that were dirt cheap at their outlet store.
