I'd buy a 325is, but not a 318i.
I have two cracked 318is heads, I'm considering using my sawzall to cross section one for some wall art. I'd also like to make a cam into a lamp with cam gear as a base for the garage desk. Still wondering how best to use all the valves.

I always wanted to take a metal futon type couch/sleeper, and weld E30 rear stock springs onto the legs. Cam gears make great paper weights!Leave a comment:

I have an ashtray in my backyard made out of E30 parts. I should take a pic someday.
It's got an i crankshaft, 3 front brake rotors, 1 rear rotor, and 1 brake drum.Leave a comment:

Funny you mentioned that...I remember reading an article in European Car about Dahlback's shop. They said there were built engines sitting everywhere... 700hp engine under the desk, 2 500hp engines sitting next to the soda machine, 500hp engines tucked into corners. That would be a crazy place to get a tour of.

The staff there was extremely friendly, even gave us keychains and hats when we left! Not to mention a guided tour of the whole facility. Sorry to thread jack.Leave a comment:
