Nope, but a good friend of mine had it on his supercharged e46 330i. That thing handled amazing too, and it was awesome to switch from touring, street, to track settings in seconds. Just for shits and giggles at a few car shows we would let the air out completely and dump the car to the floor. It's just to bad they went out of business.
From what I understand, Praxxis was a side project of Bridgestone tires but they had a contract with Tire Rack to be the only dealer. It just wasn't a widely known about system, because other than my friend Todd with the e46, I've never seen another kit. I guess it never really got off the ground like it should have do to poor advertising and promotion.
Before I opened the thread, I KNEW it would be a car from New Zealand. However, I thought it would be black, not white. So that makes two bagged E30 wagons in a town of 1 million. They are both are within 10 miles of my house.
I wasnt knocking your car, just stating that I would prefer a bagged touring over a stock looking divingboard car anyday.
and Blunt- please. tell me please how you think a stock e30 with a 18year old stock suspension and 14" ballon all season tires (the average e30 on this forum) is going to outhandle an airride suspension on a truck with all new bushings/ shocks that are designed for the lowering and 275/35/20" tires on 9" wide rims. Heck, my truck really doesnt even weigh THAT much (4.3/shortbed/singlecab).
I really dont talk out of my ass here. I have lived here in germany, owned about 20+ e30s, and drive my truck daily here. I know how it can handle the twisties vs. some of the crapbox cars I havce had-- now my truck vs. a properly set-up suspension in an e30(i am guessing yours)- i know there is no chance(but as I stated- it could outhandle a whole lot of e30s on this forum- including my eta, but not all. plus the e30 suspension really isnt that great anyway. poorly designed strut suspension on the front, with a non adj. rear trailing arm design is not really anything to be that proud of anyway.
I am not trying to knock e30's or start crap_ i like my M3 100000000000000times more than my truck, just trying to bring a point across that air, or hydraulics doesnt always = crappy ride/handling
dude dont get all defensive, just this morning over coffee i was lamenting on how i wasnt truley happy with the handling of my e30. so after pondering what i might upgrade to to achieve the "on rails" type performance i crave the 1/2 ton chevy pick up popped into my mind.
