Everyone needs to keep one thing in mind: the Lebanon civil war was a mess, more factions than you can count & just because the video title says he was a car bomber don't link that in your minds with car or suicide bombers in Iraq or Afghanistan killing civilians. Sometimes we try to associate things we see with things we know, it doesn't work in this case; Lebanon was a completely different beast.

The bottom line is we don't know anything from this video to judge the situation. Who was he trying to bomb, civilians or some leader from a rival faction? What kind of trial was he given if any? For all we know he could have been some political prisoner that had false charges pinned to them. This kind of shit happened everyday in Lebanon. The Amal faction (according to the video it was Amal) that executed him committed more than their fair share of atrocities during the war. All I'm trying to say is I reserve judgement because the only thing I believe from the video is someone was executed, and I wouldn't look at it in black-and-white as good guys vs. bad guys.

Unfortunately people don't do this, they like to assume things because it makes them feel that they're doing the right thing. I doubt anyone here speaks Arabic or any languages associated with it, besides the guy on here from Lebanon, and I haven't seen him post anything.

...I do not find satisfaction in other that are worse off than I. I am currently fighting Cancer as we speak. Locals can vouch for me as they have seen me in the hospital. I have been though more pain than most of you will ever experience. I have just completed my 3 months of Kemo. And still find life to be fun and fulfilling.

In this video, its a part of life that many of you block out. Many of you dont even know anyone that had died in 9/11 or have a family member fighting in Iraq. I have both. 2.) First and foremost, my best wishes to you on your speedy recovery and getting past remmision and on to healthy cancer-free life. I have lost many family members to this awful illness. I understand the death throws and pain of someone suffering stomach cancer. I have members of family missing large portions of their face, missing lungs, breasts, prostates, and portions of their brains. I know what they went thru, and thats why I stated I saw it in you as of late. I wish the best for you but finding the horror to offset the pain of ones own horror willnot bring a solution. I didn't want to bring your condition into this convo, as we both, along with a large contengent of this forum knowing as well.

3.) I drove an Ambulance and was an EMT, on my way to a firefighter/paramedic. I have SEEN some shit, it stays with me to this day and I wish it had not. You ever feel the inside of a 13 y/o boy who's father shot him in the face with a 12g over/under? Ever see the LeFort III level facial fractures of a 6 y/o that was in a hit and run? Have a close friends father die in the hospital while you where doing chest compressions on him due to a heart attack, hours before going over to the very mans house for a bar-b-q?

Well best of luck with getting past this. I suggest after this you find some woman and create a life, cuz you got some fucked up ideals that need to be counteracted by the concept of creating life, not watching it be destroyed.

And yes it does serve to set a public example, however how many of the members on R3V are going to blow up a car along with as many people around it as possible?
