Anyone have or is acquiring a taste for classical/piano...?

It started a long time ago, rogue paragraphs floating through space... LOL. Aight, for realz, my bro has long since played/praticed the piano, growing from this to that and SMU and etc (officially meaning BM in Muzic so far).. Well, while I have tuned into classical before all that, mainly piano, my bro's performances and times have only fed my taste and appreciation for classical; again pertaining mainly to the piano.

Note: At my bro's right now, having a St Pauli Girl, while he accompanies a hot American/Italian girl from school for a few sessions so that might sway my thoughts.. but I really do appreciate classical; for alot of reasons....

I played for 15 years or so- couldn't find decent pianos so I switched to guitar. I miss it.

I'm a big classical fan, played trumpet for 16 years so I developed a good ear for classical music. Favorite composers would prolly be Mahler or Respighi, but for piano it's Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3, also Grieg's Piano Concerto is another good one.

        I've always enjoyed Bach.

I used to play classical keys but now I'm more of a jazz/blues keys/guitar guy...

I do, but I am very picky with the type of classical I can listen to. My fiance also can play the piano, and I always wanted to but never did. Dad comes from a musical background too, played the bass. I fucked around with 'trackers' (.mod; .xm, .it) and later with midi in an attempt to make music lol

Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, is in my top 10.

I have always been a fan of classical, but more along the lines of Shostakovitch, Mahler, Holst, Tchaikovsky, even a bit of Wagner...big loud stuff.

In Paino, I absolutely love the "New Age"ish stuff, George Winston (have seen him 3 times!) Dax Johnson, Liz Story, etc...but my absolute favorite is Suzanne Ciani. Listen to "Pianissimo" if you get the chance. She is amazing, fantastic...and a great barometer of a woman. If she does not like Suzanne Ciani, fuck her then drop her.

Oh yeah, my son is an excellent painist, classical only, but can sight read damn near anything you put in front of him. Alas, all I play is the stereo...but I do that professionally!

I've been into classical for soo long. Used to play string bass in high school. Still listen to it from time to time, I have a hell of a collection. I really do like the piano stuff. Rachmaninoff for sure, and all the other big hitters.

I'm not a huge fan, I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. But my respect for the musicians is very high.

My brother has been playing for since high school as well. He's 24 or 25 now. I actually started listening to classical during my rush hour drives. It did a great job at keeping my stress down. Since then I've learned alot from my bro. I've been listening to Debussy alot lately. Clair de lune is beautiful....

I've always appreciated the piano and symphonic music, but recently more so than before. It's relaxing to study to and not a very intrusive sound. I played sax/oboe for a while so I try and appreciate the complexity of the music as much as I can. Switching to playing guitar for the last 10 years makes me appreciate some of the technicality and precision of the music in that genre.

wow, cool to see people that enjoy classical music. I started saxophone 16 years ago, still play every week with a local community band.

Both my parents are music teachers and classical nuts, so I've grown up around it. I did classical vocal perf for like 12 years. I like it, but rarely actually listen to it.
