        And btw, I wouldnt copy ANYTHING from her computer. Just because that particular file she may be trying to copy like an Mp3 or Movie or something, doesnt mean it wont get infected etween transfer. Format is the only option.

                                            Back to the OP, you "could" fix it. But fuck it, reformat and be done with it. Theres no point spending hours on it, I bet the install was fucked anyways, or it will be even if you get it operational. Basically something fucked your registry over, you can try to load a backup of it, \Windows\Sysbckup, I don't know how well that will work though. Chances are whatever virus/spyware canned that too.

                                            To prevent this in the future just give her a backhand slap and say "stop fucking shit up bitch." Works every time for me.
