So I'm driving along, minding my own business WHEN...

I get pulled over for having yellow lights. Great. As soon as the pig hit the brakes to make the U-turn I knew it was for me, so I prepared to pull over.

He told me my bulbs needed to be white. I told them they were. He told me again. I told him again. He said well the light coming out of them has to be white, i said "oh" and played stupid "but they're a bmw part, I bought it this way" which it is and i did. I was very respectful with no attitude the entire time.

He gives me a written fix-it warning. He verbally said to me I had 5 day's to get it fixed.

Now this is where it gets juicy.

1, He was a Wilson borough cop, and he first saw me in the City of Easton, and pulled me over in Easton.

2, When I gave him my registration, I accidently gave him both my registerstrations (white e30 in sig, and red daily) and he mistakenly put the red e30's VIN on the warning.

I really would rather not have to switch my headlights, drive to their police station and get the warning signed by an officer if I don't have to. Station is not far, but thats gonna take more of my already busy day saturday away. And I was driving it tonight to my storage garage that i just picked up so I could have it out of the bad weekend weather forecasted - I don't want to drive the car in it to show them it's "fixed". Lastly, they're h1 bulbs, the set on my daily are halogens and i most likely would have to splice into the wiring.

    Cliffs:
I get pulled over by a police officer I believe to not be in his jurisdiction.
I get a written fix it warning. The vehicle information is all messed up on the warning, he has the correct plate and vehicle type - completely wrong VIN, its not even close.
Do I really have to spend time saturday to "fix" it and put it back?

Oh, and i'm not black but....

      Yea, tell me about it.

Just checked some google maps. Looks like the road he saw me on is the border of the township i live in and the borough the cop was from. I pulled over into the school lot which i believe is my townships, but I don't think I have a case :-?

looks like i'll either take some time out of my day sat or eat a ticket.

Yes, you have to fix it.

I don't know how you drive with yellow lights anyways.

One would think that the pigs in Easton have bigger fish to fry. I worked on 4th street a few summers ago and it was always lovely to see used condoms and drug baggies all over the parking lot. Haha, one time I saw a huge black pimp carrying a custom painted bow saw while walking down the alleyway with a hooker at his side. At like 8am. Good times.

You should be able to find any cop anywhere to sign off on it I dont think it needs to be from the same Dept. as the one that issued the ticket. Just pull up outside the dough nut shop an wait 10-15 mins and ask him to sign it.

seriously it takes 10mins to swap head lights. and 2 why isnt he pulling over all the new new lux shit with fucking purple HID their not white. I would have asked him that at the time, but I am a dick.

What if you instead swapped the plates off of your white car onto the red car. Then the vin would match the plates. Then just take it down to get the ticket signed off. I doubt they look up the registration to cross reference the plates to the vin.
