    Can't play a video - Mp4

I downloaded a video from Google video in Mp4 format, it's a segment from Fifth Gear of an E30 M3 driving against a Lancia Delta. I've downloaded a ton of Mp4's from Google Video, and they always play just fine in VLC, but this one won't play. If I try to open it, VLC opens, but nothing plays. No sound or video, it just doesn't do anything. Anyone know what the deal is?

I always use Quicktime for MP4s

I tried that, it just gives me an error message that says "this is a format that Quicktime doesn't understand" or some shit.

Is it a copy protected mp4 like Itunes uses? I kinda doubt it since you got it from google though. I've never had problems with mp4 in vlc before. You try copying the file and then renaming it with a .mpeg3 or -4 extension?

And that is an awesome vid, I know it was on youtube last I checked if google craps on you.

Nevermind, I got it to work. The first download I did must have been corrupted, because I downloaded it again, and it was twice the size and played fine.

          Check it out, badass video:

It is badass. I'm somewhat confused as to why they took the M3's hotlap to be the one he was tail-out sideways half the time, but impressive nonetheless how close it was to the rallycar.

It probably wasn't that one, that was I'm guessing a bunch of cool shots edited together to make it look like one lap, just for a little bit of theatrics.

This player will play ANY video you throw at it. Give it a spin.

So will VLC. That wasn't the problem.
