Depends on how its setup. Apparently the Caddy is residing on the newer SAAB chassis while the GTO is on the slightly older universal chassis and the CTS is supposed to be far superior.Im now E30less.

Its not just american cars getting fat:
Nissan GTR: 3850lb
Infinity G37: 3800lb
M3: 3650lb
M5: 4020lb
I've got a F-body that was considered fat at 3400lb's, that's a featherweight compared to what's being produced today.Comment

Yeah but the GTR puts out alot more horses and has AWD. M3, more horses less weight. I understand it is getting harder and harder to make a lightweight sedan or coupe due to all the doo-dads that go into cars these days, but still the American cars lead the pack in weight and are at the back in hp. Though I am almost positive the G8 costs a bit less than all of those cars, so I guess thats why.Comment
