    Please Explain The Onion...

Betcha thought you'd be explaining funny satire news.

WTF does Prince Charles have on his shirt, I took this off the TV and could not, for the life of me understand the green onion.

The 1st of March is St. David's (patron saint of wales) day. The Royal Welsh Regiment and the Welsh Guards traditionally celebrate St David's Day with the presentation of leeks to soldiers, often by a member of the Royal Family. Apparently the Price's wardrobe guy couldn't tell the difference between a leek and an onion... :p

Maybe wearing a leek isnt as easy, last I checked leeks were fairly large vegetables.
Hemingway said it best. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.”

The leek , Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum (L.), also sometimes known as Allium porrum, is a vegetable which belongs, along with the onion and garlic, to the Alliaceae family. Two related vegetables, the elephant garlic and kurrat, are also variant subspecies of Allium ampeloprasum, although different in their uses as food.

The edible part of the leek plant is sometimes called a stem, though technically it is a bundle of leaf sheaths.
