    I need some new music....

There aren't a whole lot of bands that have come out recently (last 10 years or so) that I really get into, other than just a song or two here and there.

    QOTSA
    Tool
    Primus
    Deftones

is usually what you'll find in my CD player. Tried Eagles of Death Metals first album, couldn't get into it.

What do you guys suggest for some good rock music that doesn't like all the other shit you constantly here people listening to.

    try pandora.com
enter in the artists you like and they will play artists that are similar. great way of finding new music. or see what people recommend at itunes.
or try satellite radio. tons of great stations for not much money.
    fuck commercial radio.

Pandora is a great way to find new artists as was stated above. You just put in which artist you like and it will make a radio station of similar bands, and will tell you the name of the song and album you are listening to so you can go buy it if you like it. No downloading, just streaming.

I second the Mars Volta. The new one is awesome, The Bedlam in Goliath, but their older one De-Loused in the Comatorium is one of the best albums I've ever heard. If you haven't heard them, you owe it to yourself.
