I looked into using the rear clip of a touring to build a 2 door but they aren't exactly easy to come by in North America, especially as a parts car and shipping from Europe plus the cost of the car was going to be more than I wanted to spend and still not have the look of the e30 M3. The M3 rear window frame is definitely the most difficult part to source though.Leave a comment:

LOL, I see someone found all my photoshops! Sorry the host is down and e30hatch.com site is currently not working, AGAIN.
Here's the latest photoshop I did which the car is being based off of. It is NOT being built using a e30 M3 but a 1 owner '84 318i with a cracked block. I'm putting in a M52 from a '96 328i then a cometic head gasket and ARP studs with a GT30R. Already have a set of BBS staggered style 5's from a Euro 8-series and currently collecting e30 M3 body parts to give it the look I'm going for...Leave a comment:

It would probably throw the weight distribution out the window.

I suppose if you want it...LOLwell, that's the idea and my main reason for the conversion is for 60/40 weight distribution instead of 50/50... i need 60/40 for drifting, so i can just let the tail kick as often as it needs to...
as for auto-x and road racing, i'm buying another e30 so i can have 50/50 or 53/47 weight distribution.... ;)Leave a comment:
