+1 no real functional pieces of CF, just covering the plastic with CF. Might as well save some CF and epoxy and weight and just get a plastic sticker decal that looks like CF.Perot isn't a Hillary hater, but he's not a fan either, relating the bumper sticker he received that reads: "Monica Lewinsky's Ex-Boyfriend's Wife for President."Comment

might be getting heavier, but as far as looks go its pretty sick, and the whole install is pretty original. im impressed. and it might not be MADE from carbon, but id like to see someone on this site lay carbon and carbon kevlar as clean as he has. not to mention the aluminum work.Comment

what kind of noob uses plexiglass, sheesh. Lexan>>>>>plexiglass. Lexan is the CF of the glass/translucent plastics world. Stronger AND lighter! Only unlike CF Lexan is dirt cheap and easy to work with haha.
Why make your entire car look like butt? Not sure about most places, but in Texas, I laugh at people with CF hoods and such, it gets murdered by the weather and sun. Even amazing quality CF hoods I would see at the Acura dealership on RSX's would all be coming apart 3-6 months after I put them on for people. Carbon Fiber is awesome and all, but people need to go back to basics if they want to talk functional light weight materials on automobiles. Fiberglass and aluminum, that's how it's done. After market CF is for looks and nothing more.Comment

carbon is a lot stronger than fiberglass and lighter too... granted not if you are just covereing stock pieces. I have never had any problem with the carbon parts on my car and ive had them for many years.e30sport.net
