Housing question in Kaiserslautern

This is mainly for the guys that are stationed in the Kaiserlautern area to include Landshtul that either live on post or off. I'm trying to find out how the area is and where to avoid going to to find a place off post.

I was at a briefing that the housing office gave the personnel that are going there and they also told us that there is no 3 bedroom housing on post so I have to search outside. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I really dont think there are any bad areas. Your best bet in your search would be to look at the KA (http://www.kaiserslauternamerican.com/index.php), also you can physically goto the vogelweh housing office and they can give you a list of houses they have.
