    In Des Moines, Iowa - Anything to do here?

    Hey guys,

    I'm in Downtown Des Moines for a few days, I have some parts coming from Patrick at BMA.

    I'll be here until saturday morning.

    Any suggestions for resturants, sights and a place to go on a friday night would be helpful!

      I like Des Moines. My sister went to Iowa State, so I was in Ames more then Des Moines though. If you are young, I'd just head over to Ames and go out to the bars there. There is a really good steak house there, but I can't remember the name, so I'm not much help I guess.

                      I was jus looking for a few suggestions, cus most of the time i end up in crappy resturants when i try to just find my own.

                          All I know of Des Moines is from the airport to Ames. Been there 3-4 times.

                          Ames seemed like a typical college town. Not too bad.

                          From what I saw of Des Moines proper, it looked sleepy.
