question regarding a job

so i needed a job that was closer to my school (pcc). So I came across this place called British motors pasadena. the guy that owns it sells all these first gen mini coopers, clubmans, midgets...mainly mini coopers. He restores all of them himself before he sells em. I asked him if he's hiring, and he said, "do you do body work?" "Can you prep a car?" "If you can, come in anytime and prep some cars...how much you charge per car?" So...yes indeed, i can do body work. My question is; How much should i charge him per car? lol... I was maybe thinkin...i'll do this many cars for one mini cooper. that'd be sweet..

Under the table is not a negative if he treats you well. You will not have any employee rights, but if he is cool, and pays you on time and such, then you are not paying tax on anything you make. Sounds good to me.

I'd do it for a given hourly cash rate not per car. Every car is different.

Unless of course you would like to maybe buy a house, get a new apartment, Establish credit, get a loan on a car, hell get a loan on anything....

Even trying to buy health insurance without a W2 is a hassle. Even if you can afford it most places will not sell it to you without paperwork that states you can afford it.

Undre the table looks great at first, then the hard truth sets in. I was there for a few years. It sucks.

well..my original plan was to take advantage of all the tools.. how much should i charge em per car? and i dont plan on stayin there for too long. I just wanna see how it is...if he doesnt jip me or anything.
