What's a mustang "fast back" worth...

I just wanted to check for a neighbor of mine.

Car has been sitting outside for 5 years. Body straight, and clean - it's primered.

I know some of you guys know the answer. I'd never get a straight answer on a mustung forum.

I thought after "gone in 60 seconds" even a rust bucket when up in value on the fast backs.

wrong car I know - but eye candy is eye candy...

i'm pretty sure i have your answer. but i need more info.

    what year?
    a/c?
    p/s?
    displacement?
(depending on displacement, is it a Cleveland or Windsor, and is it the same disp that came in the car)
    A/T or Manual?
    (how many gears)?
And does it have an appearance pkg?
(the rear window slats count too)

Riddle me that and i'll have your answer.

w/o all that info, i would say 10K. but that is so vague because the details are what set the value on these.

I sold my 71 Mach1 with a 351c, 4spd M/T, factory a/c, rear slats, grabber blue paint, and mint interior with 93,xxx miles for 15K back in 2000. I saw one roll across Barret Jackson this year in a similar condition as mine, 50,xxx, no a/c and the year I don't recall. It went for upper 30's. I wanna say 38K.

It's a block away - I'll get a photo. I know nothing of old stangs.

But I have to say - classic lines. I'll see what I can do.

greatly depends on year and condition, after that, options, matching numbers, etc affect the value.

That said, if it's an early (65-66) fastback, then it's probably one of the most valuable mustangs. Even later 'stang fastbacks are way up in value, so check it out and let us know.

just a few minutes ago I watched a 1970 low mileage strippy with all original papers and number roll across the block for 28,500.
