Good deal on 2 ton Jack + Jack Stands

    $19.99 + tax

Came out to $21.54 with tax.

I've had one of these Jacks before and while they are not for every day use, they are fine if you need to use a floor jack a couple of three times per month.

Jack Stands are sturdy as well.

I ordered online and picked them up at the store 2 miles from my job after work today. (Kragen's)

For $20.00, you can't go wrong.

stands look good, but jack (like you said) does not look good for anything other than occasional use- and make 10000% sure you use the jack stands under that thing!!!!!

Might have to check one out- you can never have too many jacks or jack stands......

I used to have the same Jack and used it on my Corvette and it lasted for several years before one of the seals slowly started leaking and it didn't hold pressure as well as it used to, but I could still jack up the car and it would hold long enough to put the jack stands in place.

Like I said, not for daily use, but semi-monthly use and you should get 3-5 years out of it like I did with my last one, and a C4 and C5 Corvette is about 300-500 lbs. heavier then an E30

For occasional use, it works fine.

I wouldn't climb under the car with just that jack in place, but that goes for any hydraulically operated floor jack.

Anyways, the sale ends soon so I thought I'd post this for the weekend, DIY guys who are looking for a good deal on a jack and jack stands.

Will that jack fit under a slammed E30?

no, it hardly fits under mine.... I had a flat tire once and wasn't able to get it under at all.
It also doesn't lift very high. I think you have to have the jack stands on the lowest notch for them to fit under the car with the jack all the way up.

For $20 though (I got mine for $30 about a year ago) its a pretty good deal. It's pretty small and compact so you could keep it in your trunk in case of emergencies :D I do use mine when doing oil changes and swapping/rotating tires.

absolutely not. maybe if the jack clearance was four or five inches lower.

                      From the link:

                      Floor Jack has 5 5/16" - 13" lift range.

That's what I figured. I need a jack bad and don't want to spend the coin on the Sears long, low pro jack.

The Costco low rise AL jack is a great deal at around 100 bucks.

Then wait until you can buy one. I dont feel comfortable underneath my car all sprawled out using a the BMW oem jack. The jack in the OP is the equivalent. The stands are at best decent as well... Save the coin and buy the good shit. I mean after all, its just your LIFE youre fuckin with.

I actually just bought this setup about 2 weeks ago at Kragen. No, it's not the greatest jack in the world but it does WORK. If you're on a budget, get it. $20 for a jack and jack stands is a steal. The bar's a little short to jack up the car but I had no problem getting the jacks under my E30 and getting the wheels off to paint.

And everyone's saying not to use it as a jack stand. Seriously, isn't that common knowledge with any jack?
