I think he had to be a different Jones in this one... he was older and more sure of himself. But remember, he did pick up his own hat at the one point... they didn't go cheezy right there. I thought the motorcylce and other chase stuff was pretty sweet. Definitely worth seeing on a HUGE screen aka the theater. Anyone else notice some of the overtly not-perfect backgrounds? It's like they took medium quality effects and did them perfectly. Ya know what I mean? Like a matte paintings or miniatures done to perfection, but still being just that. Btw the Russian bitch was dumb. I felt it soared in some areas and lacked in others, but it settled fairly well with me. 7 out of 10. Like you guys said, as a movie it was good, but as an Indiana Jones movie it could have been a bit better. GO SEE IT.

I think youre thinking of Jerry Bruckheimer.

    haha, from Mr. Hollywood himself!

(I know you could give a fuck less about Boca but it seems it may be Brasil x Argentina in the final of Libertadores in form of Boca x Fluminense)

At least they didn't fill the movie with advertisements like many movies are doing today.
I know what you mean, i enjoyed it as far as entertainment value goes, just didn't seem like the same old jones we know and love. I would still recommend seeing it in theaters though.

I also know what you mean about the advertisements. The second movie that was playing at the drive in was Ironman, which kicked ass btw, and it might as well have been a fucking Audi commercial.

I saw it Wednesday night and I thought it was really good up until the last half hour or so. It got WAY too out of hand and I almost walked out bc that kind of stuff doesn't belong in an Indiana Jones film.

I was actually pretty psyched to see it, then I saw the trailer. I could tell it was going to be the usual over the top Hollywood crap and lost interest.

My hopes picked up a little bit hearing some of the buzz talking about how Spielberg prefers live action shots over CGI, but your experience pretty much confirms what I thought. I'll catch it on DVD.

    Indiana Jones... Spoiler free edition

Anyone see the new one? I sawr it last night at the drive-in and i don't know what to take from it. It was definitely entertaining but it seemed way too "hollywood" with special effects and over-the-top stunts, breaking the mold from the old ones.

    Opinions?
