I thought it was sound waves, in like a visual, Like when you enable visualisations in media player.

Nice! I was the same way. Decided on mine, waited 3 years to get it. Have my next one planned out already, just keep pushing it back in case I change my mind.

Got it done like 6 months ago. Came out a lot bigger than I planned, but I love it. And the tattoo artist said he'd never even heard of it being done before, a major plus.

looks ok to me. at that size realistic is out of the question anyway. if you did anything, just add a little contrast to it.

it had a tiny bit of contrast to it when I first got it colored in [originally i only had the outline]..but it scabbed up REALLY bad and got caught on a pair of fleece pants, basically ruining it :( Haven't had time to get it touched up.

It's the album art to Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. The guy that designed it, Peter Saville, got it from an astronomy textbook. It's supposed to be a diagram of radio pulsars from CP1919; the first radio pulsar ever discovered, actually.

Anyway, I'm a huge Joy Division fan, and I found it interesting enough to be inked on me.

I collect elephants, so I put one on my body...currently not a huge fan of it...really wishing I would have gone in a more realistic direction with it rather than cartoon-y..going to be seeing an artist soon about possibly fixing it!

hate when that happens. its a tricky spot to heal. ill try to find a pic of an eliphant half sleeve i did a couple years ago. one of my favorites. sorry, cant spell.
