    Need your help bike experts!

I'm looking for a super cheap beach cruiser with a frame like this and spring fork:

I've looked at walmart/target/sports authority/craigslist but the cheapest I've found so far is 70 bucks. I just want to know if there is anything out there cheaper because my cousin is going to chop the bike up for me anyways. Also is it possible to swap the spring fork into a bike without the spring fork?

$70 bucks is about as cheap as you will find the new China made bikes period. I highly doubt you will find anything cheaper unless it is used...

    Good Luck

I see...well in that case is it possible to swap the normal fork to a spring fork?

Why do you need a spring fork?

Well...im not too sure exactly...my cousin is going to "chop" the bike up for me and suggested when I was looking for the bike something with a spring fork would be better.

I'd ask him all these questions but he's pretty busy with family/work and I figured I could try and figured it wouldn't be too daunting of a task to find the right bike to chop up.

dude, don't swap the spring fork in. Those are either for real mountain bikes or 50-year-olds with ED riding around the retirement home.

beach cruisers are about style, and you won't miss that spring fork- that's why they have those giant balloon tires. Also, check thrift stores and junkyards.

if we're talking cruiser/chopper i don't think he's looking for a suspension fork like what comes on mountain bikes, i.e. fox, manitou, rock shox, etc., he's looking for a springer fork like this:http://www.chubbyscruisers.com/shop/...ork-p-198.html which are common on choppers.

yeah i sell refurbished cruisers that i get from thrift stores as bar cruisers to locals around here, depending on the model and amount of time/money/parts i put into them i generally get them for $20-30 and sell for 50-100+, but i usually go as oe as possible to keep cost down. 70 bucks is as cheap as i'd dare go for a new bike, i'd be scared to ride the thing off a curb for fear of bending the frame/wheels which were no doubt assembled by a machine or someone who makes $2 a day welding those pieces of crap in thailand or something.

just search around, go to a few thrift stores and you're bound to find something. i usually buy from people who just have these frames sitting in their yard/garage/basement and are happy to get rid of 'em. i hate to say it but people who don't know what they have are the best bet for finding something cheap.
