Does anyone know shit about vista?

I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to use fucking vista today. Its a HP laptop and the sound doesn't work.

It thinks its playing to bluetooth head phones, but I don't have any, nor have I ever connected any.

My ONLY option in sound devices is "Speakers Bluetooth Headphones". The internal speakers in the laptop won't work, and I can't fucking figure out how to make them work again.

Nothing shows up in device manager thats causing an issue, sound card is installed just fine.

Where the hell do you set the default sound card?

Well I kinda figured it out. I guess vista disable the handy little red-x under the device information to let you know SOMETHING IS FUCKED UP. Only under very close inspection did I noticed "no drivers installed" for my sound card. GEE THANKS FOR MAKING THAT MORE OBVIOUS.

Still, I can install the drivers, won't work, reboot, then its all uninstalled again. Vista is a pile of fucking horse shit, I would gladly work on/take fucking windows 98 any day of the week.

Personally I have not messed with Vista, but a friend of mine just stripped it off his new computer and installed XP instead. He said it was the biggest pile of horse shit ever produced by Microsoft.

My house has two Vista laptops, one Vista desktop, and me with my "lowly" XP laptop. I'm always trying to figure out what the fuxored up with theirs.

                Q. Does anyone know shit about vista?

                A. Makes your PC look more like a Mac and causes lots of compatibility issues.

FWIW, my new Lenovo laptop has Vista on it and other than it being a little sluggish for a dual core machine with 3gb of RAM, I don't have any complaints.

But I'm pretty open minded and have been wanting to try it out.

My only real complaint is that it is not backwards compatible with a lot of the software I use, especially Nikon Capture I had to buy Capture NX and I hate NX...

But at least it supports Photochop CS2 I definitely don't want to pay for CS3.
