I will say from what i have been told, the Prius is probably the best hybrid out there as far as economy and overall technology. It pisses on the honda hybrids.
I posted a picture clearly showing the mpg that I get. In fact, that number went up to day on the way to work. The only reason I stated the previous EPA estimate is because you said that that doesn't make sense to underrate a car's mpg. At any rate, I am averaging right around the combined old EPA estimate (61/55).

Somehow you obviously did your math wrong.

I just don't realistically see how you get those numbers, i have never had a customer come back and be stoked about higher than expected economy. Obviously there is a picture so i realize you aren't talking out of your ass. You said that you know how to utilize the efficiency of your engine, so what is your driving style like?

I was being facetious. Do math. Don't go off of a gauge.

Toyota Prius's are gay. If I were concerned with gas costs, I'd rather have an old VW Quantum Diesel. Those get 45-50 and arent near as embarrassing as the Prius.

Going the speed limit, coasting to lights, using the electric motor on side streets, etc. it's really not that challenging. There is a slight learning curve.

Has your truck gone 196 miles on the tank though? This isn't displaying instantaneous MPG, that is the average throughout the course of the tank (196 miles).

In other words, the average MPG throughout the 196 miles was what I took a picture of. Not when I drifted down a hill or something.

Fuck these ultra complex hybrids. Weight Reduction is far more efficient.
