Thermal is not as bad as Moreno Valley IMO.. but you're down there so I'm not going to argue. The rest, if you say they are worse than Moreno, I will not go to unless I have to because DAMN moreno valley was bad.

Detroit is a serious shit hole. I thought New Orleans sucked - and that was before Katrina.

Dayton, OH is a miniature Detroit - and with its big GM plant just closing this past week - its going to get worse.

If you want to stray from the metro areas, I have been to some shithole bumblefuck places too. Anywhere within an hour of Jackson, Miss., Bacon County, Georgia, and Starke, FL all come to mind.

In the U.S. I would say D.C. I lived there till I was 7 and it was/is a shit-hole. Then I came to Austin.

I haven't really traveled abroad so I cant say anything on that one, Well Mexico border towns count I guess. So Nuevo Laredo.

i think the worst piece of shit city ive ever been to in the united states is detroit. nobody should live like that.
out of the usa it is city of soliel (sp?) in haiti. raw sewage in the streets with kids playing in it. i was offered 3 children in 2 city blocks. mothers wanted to give me the kids. i can only assume so that they would be cared for.
