Just to update everyone. I just finished my second week of mantle radiation on Friday and I have the worst sore throat in the world.

Doc first said I had 3 treatments left now says 7 so I'm frustrated (some BS about getting a "booster" after the Thanksgiving holiday). I'm probably not going to get to eat Thanksgiving dinner at this rate seeing how I cannot even eat regularly now but yet they keep telling me to keep my weight up. Hard to do when you can hardly swallow soup and it only adds to the fatigue.

I've been sipping on Aloe Vera juice which does nothing and now I'm about to try some $40 prescription "magic" mouthwash. If it doesn't work I'm gonna be PISSED. :hitler:

Otherwise I'm just happy to be alive.

Man, cancer fucking sucks. My grandmother died from it. There is hope though. My girlfriend's mom is now a 10 year survivor of breast cancer. My thoughts are with you man, and I wish you all the best. Good luck with your treatments, and hopefully soon you can look back on all of this and celebrate your victory. Be strong.

Got all marked up but not radiation yet. I get a simulated treatment on the 5th of November and then the rest are all real. I should be finished up with treatments by Nov. 26th.. the day before Thanksgiving.
