I thought I would share my new Sweden and German toys. My Dad bought them brand new in the 80's. they've been sitting in my Dads storage shop for about 18 years collecting dust and providing shelter for mice. He didn't wont them anymore so, he gave them to me. I've never ridden them so I'm eager to get them working.
The Husqvarna is a 1984 CR 250 and the Maico is a 1983 250 Spider. I started taking the Maico a part to see what might need to be replaced and I found that there was a Rodent nest in the exhaust pipe. I spent my time today cutting the pipe apart and cleaning it out. It was full of egg-corns, insulation, and something that smelled really really bad. I got it all welded back up and ground down. I just need to get some finer grade grinding wheels and some paint to finish that job. Next, I need to go down to the bike shop and get some tune up ideas and hopefully that's all it will need to get it running again.
