Well, Scott Kalitta had a huge explosion and died in the hospital afterwards. Exploded and then went off the end of the track basically. Sad to see anyone in the Kalitta family go as they've all been huge for drag racing. All the way back to when Connie was racing the mustang and the funny car in the 1970 season. Sad to see him go out like that.
