Man I remember the Lakers had a FIERCE rivalry with them in the 90's. Payton, Perkins, Kemp, etc. That blows but honestly I dont think Ive heard anything on the Sonics since that time!! It sucks they theyre leaving behind the name and the colors, though. Werent they the first expansion team in the NBA? Did they ever win a championship?

Theyre leaving the name and everything behind in hopes to get their Sonics back as an expansion team, I would believe. Especially if theyre pouring $300m into key arena.
