Best of luck, if you have a chance you ought to try to swing by Republic, Missouri.

Reno Nevada to West Wendover Utah can be done in 4 hours in an '08 GTi. Just for reference.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Sounds like fun and might even need some help along the way. Sorry wrong side of the country for me to do any good. Good Luck though

You are required though to post a permanent CnB logo at every rest stop / gas break along the way and take pictures of it for advertising purposes so you can write off said trip with the IRS...

When I did 2500 miles in my 76 2002 I had a voltage regulator, cap, rotor, points, a few feet of fuel line, some silicone and some tools.

I'm in Lawrence, about 30 miles east of Kansas City. You're welcome to use my tools and shop if you need it. What route are you taking across Kansas? Give me a call if you need anything, or if you want to know where to get some good BBQ.

Look in the back of Roundel, there's normally a list of techs and notable CCA members in there.

And bailing wire and bar chain oil.

I would also bring a long a "pop" rivet tool just in case you need to appropriate some road signs for floor boards.
